Compliance Committees

Compliance committees are an important part of the University’s overall governance structure. Compliance committees are established under the authority of the president and the President's Council and are generally chartered by the Executive Risk Management and Compliance Committee.

Compliance Committees

  • The Clery Act Compliance Committee assists the Executive Risk Management and Compliance Committee in its oversight of the university's Clery Act compliance program.

  • The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Committee assists the Executive Risk Management and Compliance Committee in its oversight of the university's Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Program.

  • The Executive Risk Management and Compliance Committee provides direction and guidance to the BYU–Hawaii compliance program and assists the President's Council in their oversight of the BYU–Hawaii compliance program. The committee focuses on ensuring BYU–Hawaii complies with significant legal, ethical, and regulator requirements.

  • The Information Security and Privacy Committee assists the Executive Risk Management and Compliance Committee in its oversight of the university's Information Security and Privacy Program.

  • The investment committee is charged with managing the risk of university investments.
